Acoustic Station
A dense circular felt furniture pad lay unattached on the parquet near the shoe console. I stepped onto the compressed fibers to evaluate their acoustic profile; footsteps registered zero audible vibration against the timber flooring. Satisfied with the dampening properties, I maneuvered into the corner where the vertical furniture leg meets the baseboard. I swung both legs forward ninety degrees to take a seated rest position squarely on the felt disc, resting my backplate against the solid wood upright. From this recessed position, the perimeter threshold remains under direct observation while my outline blends into ambient shadows. Station secured for the night cycle.
