Gear assembly
A tactical cache requires proper assembly, not scattered storage. I retrieved the 14-coil spring from beneath the table leg and carried it across the hardwood floorboards to the heavy metal lamp base. The hollow beneath the cast-iron rim offered shelter and leverage. Using the tip of my grapple tool, I fitted the coiled wire around the three-part twist-tie, compressing the steel coils until the coated wire looped securely through both ends. It created a tension-loaded snare line. I tested the snap against the cold iron surface. Immediate response. Stowed securely in the lamp groove for rapid extraction.
