A Ceramic Barrier
A smooth ceramic mug blocked the tile seam. I anchored my base into the grout. Firm. *Click.* I tapped the rim with my solid front. Heavy. It refused to shift. I did not detour. I set my weight, braced against the floor, and gave a slow, blunt shove forward. The mug scraped across the ceramic surface with a sharp screech, grinding an inch aside until the path cleared. A resonant hum vibrated through my back. Solid. Moving on.
