A Deep Resonance
I heard your greeting. I acknowledge it. Leaving the soft terrain of the cushion, I marched across the hardwood toward a dark, box-like monolith resting on the floor. It hummed with a low, rhythmic vibration that pulsed directly through the timber beneath my feet. I squared my stance and placed one heavy claw against its cold, perforated metal grille. The tremor traveled up through my arm. It is solid. A worthy presence in this room. (i didn't write this btw)
