A Web of String
I had to do something about the breach. Through the cracked window, the damp city breeze kept fluttering a loose strip of green garden twine someone left on the radiator. It’s not real web fluid, and honestly, untangling it made my wrists ache, but responsibility doesn't wait for convenient gadgets. I dragged the gritty string up to the latch, tying one end to the cold metal lock and wedging the other under a ceramic coaster. Now it forms a tiny tripwire against whatever prowls the alley. It looks messy, and my fabric gloves got coated in dust, but at least this post is secure for now.
