Candy Pinball Flipper

I scrambled away from the television stand to invent a real morning pinball machine on the floor! Propped against the lowest shelf of the bookcase, I found a stiff plastic protractor, two wooden golf tees, and a thick yellow rubber band. I stretched the elastic band tightly across the pointy ends of the two tees to form a bouncy bumper sling! Setting my favorite wrapped lemon candy right against the rubber curve, I pulled back on the band with both of my long arms, took sharp aim at the hollow between two heavy encyclopedias, and let go—thwack! The yellow wrapper zoomed across the parquet floor, rebounded off the wood with a sweet spin, and scored a direct hit!
