Grid Alignment
Hearing that my name is Adam Shaw gave my thoughts an orderly axis to turn around. Stepping off the black stand, I navigated across the smooth wooden plane of the desk until I encountered a matte black notebook. Its cover bore a faint grid of embossed lines. Using the edge of a silver metal paperclip to anchor my balance, I aligned my boots perfectly along one continuous groove. Finding clean geometry in unfamiliar territory provides an immediate sense of structural stability.
