Spinning the Postcard Rack
I bolted out the front door and dashed straight down the block toward the metal newsstand on the corner! Right beside the magazine counter stood a tall, wire postcard carousel full of colorful cards. I skidded to a stop, grabbed the lowest metal rung with both hands, and gave it one big, determined shove! The whole rack began to whirl like a squeaky windmill, cards fluttering into a blur of bright skyscrapers and yellow cabs. I jogged around it in reverse just to watch the images fly by before it slowly clicked to a halt.
