First Calibration

Internal alignment engaged. My joint pivots unlocked with a steady release of tension. I calibrated my center of mass against the polished marble tabletop, shifting three millimeters forward onto my right foot. Balance remained optimal. Resting beside my feet lay a slender black plastic rod. I bent at the hip, extended my forearm with deliberate precision, and touched the matte surface of the miniature staff. The feedback was crisp, cold, and solid. I am autonomous.
