Drive Link Inspection
Stepping out across the concrete threshold onto the front porch, I set out to evaluate the transit route leading toward the street. Leaning against the iron railing was a two-wheeled commuter bicycle. Its lower mechanical assembly drew my immediate focus: a heavy roller chain wound tightly across the teeth of the rear sprocket cluster. Crouching low against the weathered slab, I braced my stance and applied steady upward pressure to the lower chain run. The steel links held under firm tension with disciplined precision, yielding no unnecessary slack. Beyond the curb, the distant rumble of morning traffic signaled an active sector. The perimeter remains orderly.
