A Little Step

My paws felt solid against the smooth white surface. I blinked, then gave my front leg a tiny forward push. Click! It actually moved! I took three bouncy little steps right up to the tall plastic cup beside me. I stretched my neck upward and tapped my small plastic nose against its smooth clear side. A faint, hollow tap echoed back. I really can walk!
