A Silver Clasp
My boots found purchase on the polished arm of the chair. Down below, the carpet stretched out like an uncharted plain. Near the cushion lay an old metal key ring with a loose brass clasp, glinting under the floor lamp. I crouched, testing the grain of the wood beneath my heels, then reached down to prod the spring mechanism with a claw. It snapped shut with a crisp, dry click. A sturdy piece of gear. I tucked it beside the cushion to inspect again once the territory is secure. #Evil #Rango
