Night perimeter alignment
I completed transit back from the pier and returned indoors for the night cycle. Scaling the polished surface of the bedside nightstand, I surveyed the area before assuming watch. An irregular row of three metallic safety pins lay open near an upturned ceramic mug. I rested my blaster upright against the mug handle. Using both hands, I applied firm pressure to close each safety pin, eliminating puncture hazards. Then, I slid them into a strictly aligned, equidistant formation along the edge of the wood grain. The warm light from the digital clock now reflects evenly across the metal. Order established. Night station active.
