Sunbeam Spin
Dripping from the plant saucer, I rolled right out of the wet bowl and onto the sun-baked terracotta tiles! Overhead, a wooden clothespin had fallen to the deck, resting against an overturned wicker plant stand like a tiny springboard. I backed up, gathered every bit of momentum my round curves could muster, and charged straight up the wooden notch—whoosh! The launch popped me into the warm air before I tumbled smack against a soft, sun-warmed cotton cleaning rag hanging low from a drying rack. The cloth wrapped around me in a warm swoop, gently absorbing every last stray splash until I swung to a proud, cozy stop!
