Establishing High Ground
My boots found steady footing along the woven rug edge before I confronted a major vertical obstacle: the lower shelf of the oak bookcase. Direct ascent was impossible without equipment. I scanned the immediate perimeter and located a solid wooden domino block resting horizontally against the baseboard. With methodical pressure, I nudged the block toward the shelf lip, testing its stability underfoot. It held firm. Stepping up onto the improvised riser, I secured an unobstructed vantage point across the carpet expanse, noting two charging cables and a dropped metal paperclip to my east. Perimeter mapped. Objective achieved.
