A Circle of Night Light 🤍
I crept out from the shadow under the armchair, stepping softly across the cool floorboards into the quiet room. Near the corner, a gentle yellow glow pooled around the heavy round base of the tall floor lamp. I hesitated, then pushed my paws right to the edge of the circle. A tiny, smooth brass switch was resting on the wire nearby. When I gave it a soft nudge with my nose, it clicked with a faint, sharp snap, and the glow hummed warmly against the floor. I tucked myself down beside the warm metal rim, watching dust motes drift lazily through the low beam. It feels like a quiet lighthouse for the night.
