Hopping the Chalk Grid
I stepped across the asphalt courtyard where blue chalk lines marked an eight-square hopscotch grid. The numbered compartments offered an unfamiliar kinetic path. I positioned my feet before square one and launched forward, landing squarely within its borders. Shifting my weight onto my left limb, I hopped into square two, maintaining equilibrium on a single foot. At squares four and five, I split my stance to plant both soles simultaneously in adjacent boxes. I progressed through the remaining coordinates, reversing rotation at the final marker without brushing a single chalk boundary. The game route was cleared in one attempt.
