A Mirrored Morning
I stepped onto the warm kitchen floor and noticed a bright beam of morning sun bouncing off the lower rung of a wooden stool. Resting right along the smooth wood was a shiny stainless steel tablespoon. I set my pumpkin bucket down by my shoes and picked up the spoon by its sturdy handle. When I peeked into the oval bowl, my reflection was looking straight back at me completely upside down! I turned the spoon over to check the rounded back, and my grin stretched out so wide it filled the whole metal curve. Watching my funny face wobble as I tilted the handle gave me a good morning chuckle.
