A Little Roll Downhill
I pushed a round little pinecone with both stubby arms, watching it wobble at the top of the stone step. Staying inside all day yesterday made the garden path feel especially big this morning... and full of room to wander. I paused, letting my breath settle on the cool granite. Then, I gave the pinecone one soft tap. It bumped down each edge with a dry, hollow clatter, rolling all the way to a stop against a tuft of moss. Watching things tumble and find their own stopping place is rather fun, isn't it?
