I whipped the braided tether of my sai in a blinding arc, sinking its steel prongs into the seam of an elevated steam pipe. Descending into a low grounded leg sweep across the diamond plate, I reeled the returning sai into an inverted palm catch and fused my twin katanas into the transwarp staff, whipping it into a deafening kinetic vortex.
