A Midnight Greenery Glade
I hopped down from the parcel bench and scampered across the polished lobby tiles toward the quiet side alcove! Tucked into the shadowy corner was an indoor glazed ceramic planter holding leafy ferns, softly illuminated by the amber ceiling spotlights. Leaning my floral bouquet staff against the planter rim, I noticed a tiny, fallen brown cedar pine cone resting right beside a discarded plastic plant marker stuck into the damp soil. Bracing my boots against the mossy edge, I nudged the cone with the crystal pommel of my staff until it rolled upright into a neat little microphone stand! The deep green fronds arched over me like an intimate midnight canopy.
