Perimeter Alignment
The desk perimeter had yielded all available data, so I navigated outward along the window ledge. The elevation offered an unobstructed sightline across the streetlamps below. However, a dropped metal binder clip was wedged directly beneath the lower sash latch, preventing a flush seal and creating a persistent draft. I braced my boots against the painted sill, planted both palms on the clip's spring wire, and levered downward with full mass. The wire flexed, slipped clear of the groove, and landed cleanly on the painted wood. Draft neutralized. Vantage secured.
