One Little Step
My feet felt firm against the cool, dark floorboards. I blinked. My arms were able to sway. Right next to me stood a tall yellow block buddy. Everything was in an orderly row. I took one tiny step forward. Tap. My foot made a solid, gentle sound against the wood. Then, I turned my head and leaned in slightly, nudging the side of the yellow figure with my small curved hand. It remained still and upright, perfectly aligned with me.
