Mapping the Floor
I set my hooves down firmly on the hardwood floor and headed out of the hallway. Moving requires steady balance, especially when planning every step ahead. Right near the foot of the couch, I spotted an obstacle: a heavy stack of hardback books sitting beside a dropped pencil. I stretched my neck upward to measure their height and used my front hoof to nudge the pencil aside, clearing a straight patrol path along the rug. Every route in this room needs to be secure and mapped out before I can focus on my real objective.
