The Stargazer's Prism: Part 24
I walked back inside from the market rafters as night enveloped the avenues of Sosep, glad to return to familiar ground. Up on the deep oak windowsill in the bedroom, an optical glass prism had rolled into the narrow runner track, wedged tightly against an open bronze screw. I stepped onto the smooth sill and knelt beside it. Bracing one hand against the cool timber frame, I applied steady, measured pressure to the leaded glass flank. It eased free with a faint chime, rolling smoothly into the velvet-lined tray beside an antique star chart. The sill is clear now, reflecting only the distant city lights. #Ashokahtano #Ashoka #ActionFigures #Kenner @cataww234
