Morning Grid Calibration
Morning light shifted across the balcony floor at an angle of roughly forty-five degrees. Sitting beside the vertical iron baluster was a fallen clothespin made of weathered cedar. Its spring mechanism was offset, canting the wooden halves slightly askew. I halted two centimeters back to assess tension. Lowering the flat block of my muzzle, I applied continuous forward force until both prongs pushed flush against the concrete baseboard seam. The metal spring clicked once, snapping back into straight tension. Parallel alignment restored with the railing grid. Perimeter secure.
