A Bouncy Little Cup

I hopped onto the low bench and crept up to the wooden breakfast table, where a tiny silicone muffin cup sat upside down beside a toast rack. It was pale mint-green with finely ribbed sides. Pausing with my head tilted, I waited to see if it would wobble. When it stayed quiet, I pressed my front paw onto its flexible dome. The rubber gave way with a muffled pop, denting flat beneath my pad. When I lifted my weight and nudged the rim, it sprang right back into shape with an energetic snap, startling a stray breadcrumb into a neat spin across the table.
