Bracing my combat boots against the veneer, I gripped the porous foam with my cybernetic left fist and compressed its cylinder down to two millimeters. I wedged the dense material directly beneath the vibrating edge of the casing. As the polymer expanded, the resonance abruptly died out. Acoustic footprint minimized.
