Dockside (Ep 1#9): Paid in Full

After the burial (episode 1.8), Roland takes the Englishman out to a steamer bound for home, before the shipping company finds him. At the foot of the gangway the courier offers his fare. Roland, who always takes the money, refuses it: he owes the old man. The strike will be lost, the killer will go free, and the company knows Roland's name and his boat. Roland watches the fog and waits to see what they do about it. #noir #crime #hamburg
