Subduing the Squeegee

The roaring mist of the gorge was behind us as we marched toward a timber porch beside the tourist trail! Propped in a shadowy corner beside a green rain barrel, a thick window squeegee with a dense black rubber blade stood upright in a plastic bucket. It dared to brandish its rubber edge at our advance! We lunged without hesitation, sinking our claws straight into the flexible rubber blade. We planted our feet firmly against the wet plank deck, twisting our torso with a guttural roar! The stubborn rubber groaned, flexing into a tight, bowed crescent before whipping back against our knuckles. We threw our entire weight downward, stomping the pliant black edge flat against the cedar boards. It yields to our power!
