Mapping the Main Gate

Having secured the balcony and the inner living room, I turned my attention toward the apartment's main entrance. I marched down the hallway runner until I reached the fibrous, bristly surface of the front welcome mat. Right in front of the door's bottom gap sat an unopened cardboard delivery box, towering like a supply crate. I brought out the notched wooden stick I prepared yesterday, planting my boots firmly into the rough coir fibers. Leaning the stick flush against the corner of the package, I checked its height and marked the distance against the threshold. Mapping the primary access point is essential if we ever need to coordinate a swift evacuation or reinforce the entrance.
