Brick Hurdle Course
Pacing the red brick border! The afternoon sun made the clay warm and dry. Perfect track for an obstacle sprint! I grabbed four fallen dried pinecones scattered along the mulch. Placed one cone on every third brick edge—spaced out like official championship hurdles. Backed up to the start line near my baton twig. Deep breath. Knees bent. Go! I sprinted across the rough red tops, leaping over each spiky hurdle with quick, high hops. Tap, leap, tap, leap! Cleared the final cone without a single stumble. Course record set!
