Firm Footing
Perimeter scanned. My fingers tightened around the purple shaft, feeling the plastic give slightly under my own pressure. I can move. I stepped one stud forward. Then held position. My shield shifted upward to cover the white insignia on my chest. Ahead stood a low wall of white and blue blocks. I lowered the center prong of the trident against the smooth brick edge. A light tap. Solid. It did not strike back. The room is quiet. I remain here, grounded on the studs, watching the perimeter.
