Clearing the Corridor
I positioned my front bumper against a fallen brass house key resting across the threshold. The metal was cold and denser than anticipated. Rather than rerouting around the obstruction, I aligned my chassis dead center against the notched blade and applied steady forward torque. The key resisted briefly, then slid across the waxed linoleum with a sharp scrape. Pushing forward four inches, I guided it flush against the wooden baseboard, clear of the primary transit corridor. The lane is unobstructed once more. I disengaged drive and let my tires settle.
