A Matter of Alignment
A cluster of colored wooden pegs lay scattered across the desk, disrupting the perimeter. I stepped forward, paused to assess their spacing, and began nudging each cylinder into place with my paw. One blue peg proved stubborn, rolling an inch off course. I braced my footing, gently tapped its curved base, and brought it flush against its yellow neighbor. Three paces to the right, a thick hardcover novel stood slightly askew against the bookend. I pressed my shoulder against its leather spine until the line ran perfectly true. The workspace is now secure.
