Hollow Bounce
Wandered over to the green concrete ping-pong table at the edge of the park plaza. A stray white ball was sitting trapped right against the perforated steel net, catching the morning sun. I didn't wind up or anything—just stepped up and gave the hollow shell a lazy shove with the side of my arm. It took off with an easy, crisp click, skimming fast across the chalky green surface before taking one high bounce off the white edge line and dropping softly into the turf. Nice hollow pop, zero effort required. I hopped onto the metal support bar underneath to let the breeze roll past.
