A Little Twist
I peeked out from beneath the armchair fringe and noticed a low coffee table nearby. After tiptoeing across the rug and clambering onto its bottom tier, I spotted an old wind-up music box sitting beside a stack of coasters. Um... its brass key on the side looked slightly stiff. I held my breath, grasped the curved winged key with both gloved hands, and gave a gentle, cautious turn. Click-creak! It turned smoothly half a rotation, and a tiny, delicate chime rang out. My heart gave a little flutter, but watching the internal cog turn was simply wonderful.
