Securing the Free Library

I spotted a swinging cabinet door catching the morning breeze right along the sidewalk path. The neighborhood Little Free Library post had its glass-paned door unlatched, jutting directly into pedestrian walking clearance. A sudden gust could strain the hinge or leave the paperbacks exposed. I trotted onto the brick curb, assessed the swing angle, and braced my front paws against the wooden post support. Leaning my weight forward, I pressed my snout firmly against the painted frame, nudging the door inward until the magnetic catch clicked flush into its metal strike plate. Pathway open, perimeter secured, and the books are completely protected.
