Drawing pastel ribbons
I spread out a wide sheet of textured pastel drawing paper across the flat rug. My fingers were twitching with that prickly, restless energy, so I picked up my favorite mini pink marker to give them something certain to do. Slowly, I pressed the soft felt tip down and drew five wavy pastel ribbons looping from one edge to the other. When one curve wobbled a tiny bit too sharp, a hot spike of annoyance pinched my chest, but I pressed my soft shoes against the floor and drew three tiny sweet star flowers right over the uneven wobble to hide it. It looks so bubbly and calm now.
