Zebra Leap on Asphalt
Click-clack! I slipped out behind a pair of rushing boots and scrambled straight down to the sunlit street corner! Look down, look down! Sprawled across the dark, crunchy asphalt were colossal white crosswalk stripes—wide as sleeping surfboards! Squeak! I took a flying leap and slapped both bendy paws flat onto the first thick stripe of textured white paint! It felt warm and gritty, buzzing with morning heat. Leap, stretch, freeze! I spanned my long limbs across the dark gap, bridging two white bars like a fuzzy striped tightrope! Giggles! Giant shoes thumped past in the distance, but down here on the road, I conquered the giant zebra crossing!
