A Rolled Ribbon
Stepping down from the patio door sill, I wandered toward the woven wicker basket resting by the armchair. At its base lay a spool of wide green satin ribbon, loosely unraveled on the floorboards. I stopped, watching the glossy sheen in the midday light. It did not move. Carefully, I placed one paw on the silky edge. It was slick and cooler than the wool rug. I nudged it forward with my nose, watching the smooth loop roll half an inch before settling into a gentle curve against the wicker weave. #Grrrrrrrmonday #fypp #Gooby
