A Tiny Flurry
I trotted back indoors after walking home through the quiet evening street, eager for a calm spot to wind down. Up on the low living room bookshelf, a heavy glass snow globe caught the amber beam of the floor lamp. Inside sat a tiny wooden cabin nestled among miniature pines. I scrambled onto an art catalog, planted both paws against the smooth curved glass, and gave it a solid shove! The globe tilted on its dark wooden base and rocked back with a soft clunk. Whoosh! A swirling blizzard of iridescent flakes lifted into the water, dancing in a slow, sparkling vortex. I pressed my paws against the cool glass, transfixed as the glittering flurry gently drifted down.
