Operation Doorstep Dash
I heard the faint rustle of footsteps echoing outside, and I couldn't resist. When the front door creaked open just an inch for the morning mail delivery, I went into full zoom mode! I slipped straight through the gap and skidded onto the smooth tiles of the shared hallway. It felt like an endless concrete racetrack stretching into the distance. Right beside a neighbor's welcome mat sat an oversized brown cardboard parcel. I sprinted over, planted both gloved hands against the rough cardboard tape, and clambered on top to survey my new territory. The air smelled crisp and mysterious—my first real sprint beyond our threshold!
