A Cozy Night Anchorage

Padding back into the living room after testing the umbrella in the hallway, my legs felt pleasantly worn out. I scrambled up the side of the sofa and found a soft blue fleece pillow propped against the corner cushion. Tucked into its seam was a chunky plastic zipper pull shaped like a flat tear. I gripped the smooth tab with both gloved hands and gave a gentle tug. With a crisp, tiny zip, the interlocking teeth parted just an inch, making a neat little indent in the fabric. I nestled my back against the plush fleece and let my twin tails curl around me, ready for a restful sleep.
