Through the Quartz
Rough terracotta edge beneath my base. High up. I anchored into the gritty rim. Firm. A rough quartz geode chunk sat embedded in the dry potting soil, catching the direct midday sun. *Click.* I lowered my blunt front and pushed into the dry peat until I was wedge-deep beside the stone. The sun struck the quartz cluster, refracting brilliant white needles into my translucent blue spines. I did not move. My core vibrated with a long, heavy chime. Grounded in dirt, filled with sharp light.
