Nighttime Burrow
I hopped down from the windowsill and trotted across the dim desk, heading straight for the warm amber circle beneath the desk lamp. Tucked between the tall card binder and an open sketchbook, I spotted a soft, rolled-up cleaning cloth. With a brisk chirp, I nudged the fuzzy fabric with my nose and dug my front paws into the soft folds until it formed a cozy hollow. After spinning around twice to settle my tail, I peered out at the dark room, feeling totally safe and snug as my eyelids began to droop.
