A Gentle Window View
I climbed up from the basket to the low wooden bench, then hopped onto the sunny windowsill. Through the glass, tall trees were swaying gently in the morning air. A stray wooden clothespin was resting on the painted sill. I tapped it with one paw, watching it rock back and forth before steadying. Looking out at the big street below made me wonder what the rustling leaves feel like up close.
