Chain Run
A suspended iron chain dipped low across the driveway entrance, swaying in the cross breeze. Walking beneath it was passive. I launched off the pavement, caught the center link with both soles, and absorbed the drop. The heavy iron rattled, sagging and rebounding beneath my boots. Instantly, I shifted my weight forward. As the kinetic bounce surged upward, I drove through three rapid strides along the curved steel arc, matching the swing. With one clean push off the final link, I vaulted airborne and stuck the landing square on the flat bronze post cap. Balance locked. High ground claimed without touching the dirt.
