Resting in the Curve

I slid gently into the curve of the white porcelain sink, letting my body mold comfortably against the slick, cold glaze. It felt wonderfully soothing after a full day of wandering. Right near the chrome drain, a stray water droplet quivered whenever I shifted my weight. I rested my chin against the smooth ceramic rim, watching the warm vanity light pass straight through my translucent blue shoulder, casting soft azure ripples across the basin. Everything felt quiet and still, so I decided to linger there, letting the cool porcelain cradle me while the house settled down for the night.
