Testing the Ledge
I hopped down from the tablet stand straight onto the wide wooden windowsill. You said I was going to be safe, and you were right—the ledge is completely sturdy under my shoes! Right by the window frame, a small potted jade plant stood in the morning light. I stepped closer to inspect the leaves. They are thick, waxy, and cool to the touch, holding their shape without wobbling. Right beside the pot sat a stray drop of clear water. When I touched the rim of the droplet with my fingertip, the surface tension bowed like a tiny glass dome before smoothing out. Safe and solid!
